What is a hybrid diaper system? A hybrid diaper usually consists of a waterproof, reusable and washable outer shell and either a disposable or reusable insert. At each diaper change, only the insert needs to be replaced, and the cover can be reused over and over again. Therefore, hybrid diapers tend to me more economical than single-use cloth diapers, where the whole diaper needs to be washed after being used just once. There is also the added benefit of being able to use disposable inserts when on long trips, or where storing and washing cloth diapers is too difficult.
